In the US, former Nielsen execs Roz Pierson, Felisha Lewis, Marie LaFerriere and Fred LaManna have launched a brand and research strategy consultancy called Luminas.
Through the new firm, the four offer full-service solutions to help define the market and monitor brand performance, including how to use content marketing and customer experience to differentiate a company, product or brand. Services include research and brand strategy projects across the entire healthcare ecosystem, as well as problem-solving and research activities for clients in financial services, technology (especially HIT), retail, and non-profit.

Pierson was previously Nielsen's SVP, Professional Services, before which she worked for Harris Interactive and WPP/TNS; Lewis was VP, Healthcare Insights at Nielsen for nearly four years, prior to which she spent sixteen years at Harris Interactive; LaFerriere most recently served as Director, Healthcare Insights at Nielsen and spent the prior three years at Harris Interactive; and LaManna began his career at Nielsen at 1995 and since held senior roles at Copernicus, Yankelovich Partners, Harris Interactive, Ipsos and Cognitive Consulting.
