Senior Moves at Synovate Healthcare

Synovate Healthcare has announced several key management appointments, including Bob Douglas as MD - Europe and Asia, Stuart Bartlett as Regional Director Asia Pacific and Louisa Miles in the new role of Global Training Manager.

Bob Douglas, most recently MD of the International Healthcare Research Division at TNS, joins as MD - Europe and Asia. Douglas spent nine years on the industry side with companies including Roche, Wellcome and Boehringer Ingelheim before his 16-year stint at TNS.

Stuart Bartlett has been named Regional Director Synovate Healthcare Asia Pacific. Bartlett spent four years at Isis Research in London, specializing in sales force effectiveness and ad-hoc research, before moving to Hong Kong in 2001 to head up the Isis representative office. He joined Synovate in 2003 as Director of the healthcare division and is currently based in Singapore.

Isis Research, was acquired by Synovate in September last year and in October 2004 will rebrand as Synovate Healthcare. The newly combined Healthcare business in Asia Pacific has more than 50 full time healthcare researchers across the region, with dedicated Healthcare teams in Singapore, China (both Shanghai and Beijing), Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, Korea and (as of this month) Taiwan.

Prema Gopal has been promoted to Project Director in the Synovate Healthcare Singapore office, and will continue her client servicing role as well as her responsibility for project management at both a local and regional level.

Andrew Wood has recently taken on the role of Manager - Jigsaw and UK Ad Hoc. He joined Isis Research as a Graduate in 1998 and since 2001 has been working on business development and heading up offices for Isis in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Louisa Miles will take on the new role of Global Training Manager at Synovate Healthcare with effect from 1st September 2004. Miles joined the Isis graduate training scheme in 1997 and worked on placements in Fieldwork International and the Omnibus sub-section of Pulse before joining Jigsaw, where she has focused on pharmaceutical markets for the last 4 years.
