Accenture Buys Melbourne MarTech Firm The Lumery

Business services colossus Accenture has acquired Melbourne-based marketing tech consultancy The Lumery, adding expertise in areas including personalization, CRM and loyalty, testing and experimentation, and automation to its Accenture Song division Down Under.

Rajan KumarThe Lumery was founded in 2017, employs around 80 people in offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Bengaluru, India, and provides services including marketing advisory and planning, qual and quant insight and attribution, and advice on operational excellence / simplification.

Mark Green, Australia and New Zealand lead at Accenture Song, says the acquired firm 'stands out for its distinct ability to help clients navigate the constantly changing and fragmented customer experience with its considered approach that integrates software, data and analytics'.

Lumery co-founder and CEO Rajan Kumar (pictured) comments: 'Building compelling customer experiences isn't going to be solved by technology alone. It also requires creativity, modern ways of working, ever-evolving customer data and most importantly, great people'. He adds: 'Joining Accenture Song is a monumental step in our journey forward as we scale our expertise globally and, together, help more businesses connect with their customers and drive tangible business outcomes'.
