IAB Australia

January 15 2013

Tony Prentice has been appointed as interim CEO of online ad body IAB Australia - he takes over immediately from Paul Fisher who resigned last month. A past Chairman of the organisation, Prentice will work part-time to manage ongoing projects and will not be a candidate for the permanent role.

Fisher left to become Managing Director for Nielsen Media across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) regions.

The Board says it has commenced its broad search for a permanent CEO and hopes to make an announcement later this quarter. Chairman Mark Britt comments: ‘Tony has been appointed in a part time capacity to manage a number of significant projects that are underway and ensure there is no break in IAB’s focus on industry growth and activity.’

Prentice, who was most recently Chief Commercial Officer at News Australia Sales and was IAB Australia Chairman in 2011, will work with the body’s Director of Regulatory Affairs Samantha Yorke and Director of Research Gai Le Roy.

Incorporated in July 2010 and one of more than 40 IAB offices globally, the organisation is online at www.iabaustralia.com.au .
