In New York, Nielsen has appointed David Parma as the Global Product Leader for its Customized Research group.

He brings to his new role a background in client- and agency-side research, marketing and product development. Most recently, he headed the company's BASES East Coast, US office, and the BASES Analytical Resource Centre in India.

Parma will report to Joe Willke, Global President of the firm’s consumer product leadership group. He will be responsible for the direction and investment priorities of Nielsen's customized research business globally, and will work with Nielsen's other global product leaders to develop products that integrate across the company's range of products and services.

Parma commented: ‘Nielsen's customized research unit is one of the company's best kept secrets, offering some of our most creative and cutting-edge products, which integrate especially well with Nielsen's other signature services in the retail, panel and media tracking fields.’
