Insight and communications group Creston has appointed Kathryn Herrick as Chief Financial Officer and a member of its board, effective at the beginning of July. She replaces former CFO and COO Barrie Brien who has moved to CEO.

Brien’s promotion followed the retirement of long-time CEO Don Elgie.

Herrick joins from data centres and Internet exchange provider Equinix Inc, where she is VP Finance for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Previous work included regional and global finance positions within WPP and Interpublic over a 14-year period. She qualified as a chartered accountant at PwC, and then spent two years in an internal audit role at Pepsico Inc.

Welcoming her, Brien comments: ‘Kathryn's experience combines technology and media, as well as international marketing services groups, which makes her ideally suited to our digitally focused insight and communications work and our global client-base.’
