Job Spec: This is an outstanding opportunity to join a true success story of a research agency in the media, entertainment and tech space. They have gone from strength to strength and their USP is to provide clarity and strategic counsel to their client stakeholders around their thorny challenges. This role is the second in command in a team focused on strategic and creative ad hoc projects, both nurturing a fabulous client portfolio which reads like a Who's Who of leading organisations and brands in this space - and well as helping develop and inspire a brilliant team.
In short, this agency:
- has delivered consistent growth year in, year out - this is a very secure environment.
- continues to win multiple awards for delivering outputs which achieve cut through and give clients clear guidance to their most complex challenges.
- work with the very best names in media and entertainment, globally.
- has a wonderful culture: they are both brilliant at what they do AND they are kind, supportive and nurturing - as well as being totally committed to bringing people on. People love it here and they stay, talking about the great clients, quality of work and the amazing team.
We are looking for an outstanding Associate Director to take on a 'second in command' role in a team that focuses on the strategic and also creative ad hoc client challenges. Projects tend to be large-scale, are often multi-country and can incorporate a wide range of techniques (max diff, conjoint, structural sequence modelling, segmentation...). Whilst they are a predominantly quant agency, they do a lot of mixed methods work.
This role offers autonomy, ownership and freedom. You will work alongside a brilliant team head and head of quant, as well as other specialists in the agency - and you will have scope to lead on your own projects from start to finish - so this is a role for someone who has the confidence to pick up projects and run with them.
Their work is award-winning and you will have the opportunity not only to lead on and take credit for award-winning work, but to present it at conferences and events.
The role will suit someone who loves to work really closely with their clients so they can understand their clients' businesses and add value - someone who can translate the data into insight the client can understand and use - and who has strong communication skills to work with a wide range of client stakeholders. It will appeal to someone who has strong attention to detail and great organisational skills. You will also need to be genuinely interested in media and entertainment, although you do not need sector experience (although this would be ideal).
Team leadership is key to the role; you will have 2 direct reports and help oversee the whole team - leadership and mentoring are important here.
This client is open to a super-star Research Manager ready to take the step up to Associate Director or an established Associate Director looking for more autonomy and freedom as well as a great culture.
In addition, we need a team player: a collaborative, interested, proactive mindset and, as this is a really lovely team of people who pull together as one, you will need to be like-minded to fit in to that.
In the words of the Head of Quant, the sky is the limit for this role - so do get in touch.
