NOP Running MRBA Auction Online | February 15 2002 |

MRS Conference-goers among us will probably remember that the annual Brighton event approaches soon. As ever, the events will include an auction for the Market Research Benevolent Association (MRBA), to be managed this year by NOP. The 2002 auction also represents a breakthrough in that it is being conducted online for the first time. The virtual fundraising will replace the traditional bidding and buying usually held after the conference's gala dinner. Online bidding is to open on 1 March and round-the-clock bidding is available on the organiser's website, nopworld.com/mrba. Bidding will continue on the NOP stand at the Trade Fair until lunchtime on Friday 22 March, giving delegates the opportunity to watch the action live. The names of the successful bidders will then be announced during the conferences closing speeches that afternoon. NOP stand organiser Jean Black noted, 'NOP has a long tradition of supporting MRBA fundraising at conference and we are delighted to give our support to such an important event in the MRBA calendar. We would ask as many delegates as possible to come along and bid. Our stand is on the upper level of the Trade Fair and there will be plenty of goodies on offer in support of such a worthwhile cause.' Simple printable version of this article.
