National Statistics Day | August 22 2002 |
The National Statistics unit in the UK is holding an Open Day on October 11 in central London giving statistics users the chance to hear about latest developments and to discuss future directions and priorities.
Sessions include 'Meeting the Challenge of the Information Age; the National Statistics Website' and 'Census 2001'.
Other topics likely to be covered are; neighbourhood statistics, statistics to support regional policy, rural statistics, quality and reliability measures, improving quality in national statistics, statistics on gender, ethnicity and disability, social exclusion and social capital, sustainable development indicators, national statistics code of practice.
