May 30 2003

Healthcare marketing research company Ziment has announced that its online panel facilitating fast access to the opinions of patients suffering from a wide range of chronic illnesses has exceeded 200,000 members.

The Ziment Chronic illness panel has added to the company's Internet research capabilities by providing its clients with the ability to easily find low incidence patient groups. Combined with Ziment's physician Internet panel, clients can conduct studies with both physicians and patients using the speed and large sample power of Internet research.

'Our chronic illness panel gives our clients access to a vast number of patients with specific disease states that can ordinarily be difficult to find and interview,' explained Howard Ziment, Chief Executive Officer of Ziment. 'Internet-based research is time-efficient, cost-effective and allows patients to speak more freely about their disease.'

The panel profiles close to 100 different chronic illnesses among a nationally balanced panel of patients.

As the founding member of WebSurveyResearch, which specializes in collecting opinions from healthcare professionals through the Internet, Ziment is a pioneer in conducting research within the healthcare arena. WebSurveyResearch includes WebSurveyMD, the largest dedicated online panel of physicians with over 37,000 physicians worldwide.
