NPD Group Appoints Tim Bowles | July 14 2003 |
Market information company The NPD Group has announced the appointment of Tim Bowles as a consultant and member of the firm's Executive Committee. Tim is a renowned innovator in the international market research arena who has held CEO, MD and equivalent positions in UK and US companies including Information Resources Inc., MRB Group, AGB and RSGB.
NPD provides marketing information for sectors including apparel, appliances, automotive, beauty, cellular, consumer electronics, food and beverage, home improvement, housewares, IT, music, travel and toys. Bowles will spearhead several key strategic projects for the firm, and combine working part-time with the pursuit of his interest in mountaineering.
He has more than 30 years of management experience, and is a Fellow of the UK-based Market Research Society, with more than twenty-five published papers on research methodology and aspects of the industry. His former roles also include Chairman of the Marketing Group of Great Britain and Vice Chairman of the Association of Market Survey Organizations (AMSO). His professional experience spans survey research, qualitative research, and consumer panels, in addition to his most recent involvement in retail market tracking.
