ISIS Research joins Synovate | October 9 2003 |

Synovate has acquired healthcare specialists ISIS Research, based in the UK but with 16 international offices across Europe, Asia and the USA. ISIS will become a key part of the Synovate Healthcare division, which will now be headed up by ISIS Chairman Colin Maitland. ISIS Research was established in 1973 and provides some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies with syndicated and custom healthcare research including cancer care audits in five key European markets as well as Japan. Last month the two companies announced a partnership in a global cancer audit combining the ISIS audits with Synovate's Tandem Cancer Audit in the US. The acquisition will add strengths in other syndicated areas including HIV and diabetes. Synovate's worldwide CEO Adrian Chedore says that the global cancer audit is 'but one example of what we can do with our combined capabilities and knowledge. With ISIS in the fold, Synovate Healthcare's market positioning and benefits to healthcare clients are much more robust'. According to Colin Maitland, joining Synovate gives ISIS greater opportunities for growth and wider career opportunities as well as giving clients more and better market research products and services.
