Frank Gens Returns to IDC | October 20 2003 |
IDC has announced that veteran IT researcher Frank Gens has rejoined the company as Senior Vice President of Research. In his new role, Gens will collaborate with IDC's global research teams to develop research into the integration of business and technology.
Gens has more than 20 years' experience as a senior technology researcher, 15 of them at IDC, where he led the development of the company's global research architecture. In his career, he has consulted to many senior business and IT executives around the world and authored numerous reports on the interplay of information technology and business strategy.
Kirk Campbell, president and CEO of IDC says that Gens brings 'unsurpassed knowledge and insight to IDC's research agenda. We are excited to have him leading our efforts to expand the scope and depth of our end-user research'.
According to Gens, 'In many ways the IT industry is facing its most important market shift in 30 years as businesses struggle to fully integrate technology into their strategic plans and core competencies. IDC is uniquely positioned to address these trends as the global leader in understanding and forecasting technology trends'.
