Synovate Names Media Head

Synovate has named Jerry Brandt as head of its new Media and Entertainment research unit for the Americas. Brandt is a former national industry director of the KPMG Consulting Media & Entertainment and Digital Media groups, and has held senior positions at The Walt Disney Company and 20th Century Fox.

Brandt has more than fifteen years of media and entertainment management experience. He also served as Executive Vice President and General Manager for the ASI entertainment MR group, and conducted media audit programs and Internet streaming video solutions for such clients as Nintendo and Sony Pictures/Movielink whilst an independent consultant. He has a business administration degree from the University of Maryland.

Based in the Synovate Los Angeles office, Brandt will now be responsible for expanding Synovate's services in movie, TV trailer and promotion testing, and in entertainment and media custom research; and will take charge of the launch of Synovate's Pan Asia-Pacific Cross Media Survey, which tracks media audiences and their consumption trends, in the American marketplace.
