In the UK, 'human insight' company Further has appointed former Market Research Society (MRS) Chairman Danny Russell as Non-Executive Director.
Further develops online research communities, and provides services ranging from a self-service qual research platform, to managed services and full-service research. In August, the firm launched two tools on its Together platform, one for analysing unstructured data and the other for concept testing.
Russell (pictured) currently runs his own strategic consultancy, working with clients who want more 'commerciality' from their insight. He also serves as AD, Research and Insight at creative marketing specialist Material; and he is a Non-Executive Director at Omnicom's ad and brand research firm Hall & Partners; and Chief Advisor at behavioural research agency Watch Me Think. During his career, Russell has held senior insight roles at Boots, Kraft, BA, BskyB, Paddy Power, and Telefonica (O2). As well as being the previous Joint Chair of the MRS, he is a past Chairman of AURA (the UK's Association of Users of Research Agencies).
At Further, Russell will advise founder Stephen Cribbett, while supporting the company's new growth strategy.
