Advocado
St Louis, MO-based, TV ad insights platform Advocado has added three to its Board: former Turner Sports COO Matthew Hong; Gayle Meyers, formerly Chief Growth Officer at LUMA Partners; and Michael Beer, Head of Financial Strategy at Luminar Technologies.
Advocado's platform offers real-time TV data signals via patented watermark technology, natural language processing, automated content recognition and real-time weather data, to connect off-line and online audience data. This can be used to target multi-screen campaigns, maximize ROI, and uncover and influence the entire customer journey. The company currently monitors over 2,000 national, local and cable channels in real time.
Hong, who joins the Board with more than two decades of media and intelligent tech expertise, is the former Chief Operating Officer at Turner Sports and former Executive Director of Search at AOL. Meyers is an entrepreneur, consultant and operating partner for numerous organizations in digital marketing, with over two decades' experience in advertising technology and services. Beer currently works for autonomous vehicle sensor and software company Luminar Technologies, and has more than a decade's experience as a research analyst for organizations such as CitiBank.
Advocado CEO and co-founder Brian Handrigan (pictured) comments: 'We're experiencing a massive shift in how, where and when consumers engage with the brands they love, and as a result, audiences and data have become more fragmented than ever before. Recent developments like the crumbling of third-party cookies and amendments to the CCPA have only exacerbated the issue. Advocado has the answer, and the rich experience and insight that each of our new Board members and advisors provide will help us achieve ubiquitous, industry-wide adoption'.
