In the US, enterprise software platform and data provider Whip Media has promoted long-time Nielsen exec Carol Hanley to the role of Co-President, from her previous position as Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer.
From its offices in Los Angeles, New York City, London, Amsterdam, and Paris, Whip Media centrally connects data, processes and teams across the digital distribution journey. Powered by proprietary data and predictive insights, the firm enables entertainment organizations to distribute, control and monetize their TV and movie content.
Hanley (pictured) joined in 2017 from TV Time, where she served as Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer. Prior to this, she worked at Deluxe Entertainment Services Group as Chief Revenue Officer; spent fifteen years at Nielsen, latterly as EVP, Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer for Nielsen Audio (previously Arbitron), leading ten business units and more than 250 people; and she was SVP, Chief Revenue Officer at community panel specialist Verve.
In her new role, Hanley will lead the company's business strategy, revenue, sales and marketing, having previously overseen the development of new measurement solutions that combine audience consumption data with financial information. She will work alongside current President Rob Gardos, who will lead product direction, development, and client success.
Richard Rosenblatt, CEO and founder of Whip Media, comments: 'Carol is an extraordinary leader, with a proven track record of driving revenue, customer acquisition and satisfaction, and helping media companies understand the value of their data. Her well-deserved promotion comes as Whip Media enters our next chapter of significant growth, where she and Rob will play instrumental roles in scaling our global business.'
