Australian Agency Launched
In Sydney, research veterans Alex Sweeney and Alasdair Johnston have formed Clarity Strategic Research, a new agency offering qual and quant research services to the financial, B2B, telecoms, retail, FMCG and media sectors.
Both have previously worked for agencies in the UK and Australia. Sweeney was most recently Director of Client Consulting at The Leading Edge, and has also worked at Jigsaw, Consensus Research International and Ipsos-MORI in the UK. Johnston was previously Director of Research and Business Strategy with Jigsaw Strategic Research, and has also worked in Australia for Blue Moon and in the UK for City Research and Consensus Research International.
Sweeney told DRNO the firm will launch with a number of 'informal alliances' with marketing planners, designers, retail consultants and communications specialists, with the aim of 'embedding insights even further into clients' business'. Adds Johnston: 'The name Clarity perfectly encapsulates how we intend to do business. We are about coupling clear thinking with straight talking, enabling us to provide meaningful, commercially viable outputs which are intelligible to all in our client's business.'
