Economic Advisory Boutique Opens
In the US, economist Richard DeKaser has launched a new agency specializing in macroeconomic forecasts, real-time economic analysis, and housing market research.
Woodley Park Research (WPR) will offer macroeconomic research and analysis; forecasts in areas such as consumer spending, business investment, and housing; contract research to meet the specific needs of businesses, governments and think-tanks; and housing valuation and risk analytics.
Prior to founding WPR, DeKaser spent a decade as SVP and Chief Economist at National City Corporation, where he controlled the economic research offering. Before this, he was a Senior Financial Economist at the Bank of Boston, a Senior Associate at DRI/McGraw-Hill (now part of IHS Global Insight), and a Staff Economist at the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
His work in the field of housing market research has included developing a housing valuation model that tracked property price excesses, and co-producing housing market reports while at IHS Global Insight. Over the course of his twenty-four-year career, DeKaser has also become a recognized media source for economic commentary and analysis.
Based in Washington DC, WPR is online at www.woodleyparkresearch.com .
