New Cambiar Practice to 'Transform' Research Depts
US-based Cambiar - the management consultancy dedicated to the market research industry - has opened a new practice dedicated to helping research departments in major organizations achieve relevance and impact.
The new Research Transformation Consulting Practice will be led by Ian Lewis, formerly VP Consumer Research and Insights at publisher Time Inc, and leader of the Time Warner Research Council.
At Time Inc, Lewis grew the research function from 5 to 35 people, while transforming it into a strategic consulting unit that provided insight and guidance to senior management. He previously led research functions at Sterling Winthrop, Pfizer and Unilever.
Lewis is joined by Dr Wayne McCullough of the University of Michigan, whose career has included spells as VP and Director of research departments at IBM, Bank One, Ford and Chrysler. Lewis joins Cambiar as a Director and McCullough as a Senior Consultant.
Managing Partner Simon Chadwick comments: 'Ian and Wayne are two client researchers and executives that I have long admired for their ability to bring transformation and strategic relevance to their research functions. It is our intention now to help other research VPs deliver similar value to their organizations and Ian and Wayne are exactly the right people to do that.'
Cambiar already offers strategic consulting, mergers and acquisitions consulting and brokerage, human resources consulting, senior executive recruitment and sales performance consulting.
