US and Spanish Web Analytics Associations Merge

The Web Analytics Association (WAA) has merged with its Spanish equivalent, the Asociación Española de Analítica Web (AEAW), in order to build buzz and education programs around analytics and develop strong local analytics networks in Spanish-speaking countries.

The AEAW exists to promote web analytics among organizations, enterprises and economic and social institutions that operate in Spain.

Under the terms of the merger, all AEAW members now become members of the WAA, and the WAA will assist AEAW with organizing and promoting local Spanish events across the entire WAA membership.

'The merger is one component of a multi-pronged growth plan that will enable us to better serve members' needs throughout the world,' said Jim Sterne, WAA Chairman. 'The AEAW has done a wonderful job of launching this Spanish presence and together we can leverage their hard work.'
