ABI Opens Research-Based Events Firm
US tech specialist ABI Research has launched a senior management-focused events company, which will tap into the parent firm's portfolio of market intelligence and quantitative analytics, as well as its global team of analysts.
ABI Forums will run theme-specific events in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas, and its initial focus will be on the mobile technology industry across China, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
The new firm's first event, Mobile Device Evolution, will leverage information from this service to focus on the ongoing development of mobile devices from new mobile platforms, applications and software to the emergence of the low-cost smartphone. It will be held in Singapore in November, and will led by ABI Research's Chief Research Officer Stuart Carlaw, VP of Forecasting Jake Saunders and Practice Director, Mobile Devices Kevin Burden.
ABI Research President and Founder Tim Archdeacon explained: 'The time is right, the interest is there, and we have the brand, the people and the knowledge to execute this and make it a successful learning and networking experience for our clients and other forum participants.'
In April, ABI Research launched the Mobile Consumer Research Service to present mobile companies with the entire landscape from regional traffic mapping, to application and content trends, to the emergence of personalization services.
Founded in 1990, ABI Research operates from offices in North America, Europe and Asia from which it provides research and advisory services in seven key practice areas.
