Ci Research Forms Retail Team
UK agency Ci Research has formed a new retail division, which it says will provide clients with access to team members' client-side and agency-side retail market research expertise.
The team of four is headed by Research Manager Gareth Hodgson, who previously held roles at Iceland Frozen Foods and Littlewoods Shop Direct Group. He has both qual and quant experience across several sectors including FMCG, financial services and public sector.
Richard Walker joins as Team Director with 15 years' agency-side experience gained with clients including ASDA, Matalan, New Look and Avalon.
In addition, Research Executive Katy Leng, who recently joined from Harris Interactive, will provide day-to-day support for the team; while Systems Executive Amy Wilde will be responsible for project specific and sector wide retail insights.
Hodgson comments: 'With consumer spending becoming increasingly sensitive, the ability to draw on the expertise of our specialist team is an invaluable tool in the battle for market share.'
His team will deliver a new range of market research solutions aimed at supermarkets, high-street and online retailers, and shopping centre landlords.
Earlier in the year, Cheshire-based Ci was acquired by its management, led by MD Ian Font and fellow investors Colin Auton, Andy Wright, Richard Walker and Katie Waterhouse.
In March, the firm launched a financial services team, consisting of four individuals and headed by Auton, who previously worked client-side at the Bank of Scotland Group.
