Coleman Insights Buys mediaEKG

In the US, radio industry research firm Coleman Insights has acquired mediaEKG - a media research firm whose patent-pending technology provides media properties with listener and viewer feedback on their content. Terms were not disclosed.

Sam MilkmanmediaEKG offers radio and TV executives insights into the performance of their programs. Using a combination of the firm's proprietary Internet technology and a broadcaster's own database, the firm provides evaluations of radio and TV shows, benchmarks, and tracking over time.

As part of the acquisition, Coleman Insights will immediately begin offering mediaEKG services to its clients. In addition, mediaEFK President Sam Milkman will join Coleman Insights as Vice President in charge of its new Philadelphia office.

Milkman became President of mediaEKG in 2006, following more than 15 years' experience in broadcasting. During his career, he has held numerous programming and operational positions including Operations Director of WXRK-FM/New York; Research Director of WHTZ-FM/New York; and Program Director of WMMR-FM/Philadelphia.

Coleman Insights President/COO Warren Kurtzman said that the acquisition is a perfect fit: 'Coleman Insights is dedicated to helping media properties build strong brands and develop great content and we will improve our ability to do that with mediaEKG as part of the services we offer.
