KPO Firm Snaps Up Grail Research
US knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) firm Integreon has acquired Grail Research, which provides market intelligence and strategic research to global corporations. Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2006, Grail Research provides insights to technology, consumer products, and life sciences firms, to help them launch products, build brands, assess new opportunities, evaluate M&A/partnership deals and address competitive threats.
The firm employs around 200 staff from its headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and other offices in North America; Beijing, China; Delhi, India; and Johannesburg, South Africa. It was set up by The Monitor Group, which offers a range of advisory, capability-building and capital services.
Integreon provides KPO services to corporations, law firms, investment banks, private equity firms and hedge funds.
'This acquisition accelerates the expansion of our business intelligence, research and analytics business with high-end, custom market research,' explained Integreon CEO Liam Brown. 'With the addition of Grail's capabilities, we can meet the most demanding global research requirements of our clients, and expand our global delivery and service capability to South Africa and China, which are strategic markets for Integreon.'
Grail Research CEO and founder Colin Gounden, joins Integreon as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting directly to Brown. He has nearly 20 years' strategy consulting and research experience, having previously owned UK data firm Conduit Business Information, acted as Advisor to the Chairman of The Yankee Group, and worked as a technologist with IBM.
