Fine Launches Australia Online Research
In Australia, industry veteran Brian Fine has today launched his own online panel and sample firm 'Australia Online Research' (AOR).
Fine founded AMR research, now part of marketing content and services firm STW Group, 25 years ago, and was most recently Chairman of STW's Online Research Unit (ORU) and of its Insights Group, which includes AMR Interactive.
During his career, Fine has been President of AMSRS and AMSRO in Australia, and he is currently the ESOMAR Australian Representative, and an Adjunct Professor at The UTS (University of Technology,Sydney) Business School. In addition, he was one of the first researchers to set up online panels in Australia in 1999.
His new 'best practice' online panel company has been launched to provide business, consumer and mobile phone sample, and offer market researcher assistance and involvement in the design, management and weighting or modelling of online fieldwork.
AOR will also provide scientific 'blending' of panels to ensure clients obtain a fully representative sample. Before the questionnaire is programmed, the firm will assist with weighting to ensure any outputs are representative of the target population.
Fine's explains: 'AOR clients will mainly be research companies which require the security of quality fieldwork for their clients, using best available consumer and business samples and best management of weighting, calibration and modelling.'
