Nunwood to Expand in Europe, AsiaPac and US
UK-headquartered global insight consultancy Nunwood has announced plans to open four new offices early next year, starting with New Zealand and Australia and following up with launches in both The Netherlands and California later in the first quarter of 2010.
The new Auckland office, scheduled to open in January, will be headed by Divisional Director Ann Thompson, who is moving to the country from Nunwood UK.
Thompson, who has more than 25 years' market research experience, joined the firm in 2006 from ad agency GratterPalm where she worked as Planning Director. Prior to this, she was Head of Market Research at Advertising Principles, and worked at Nestle where she was responsible for the firm's research approach in the Middle East and Asia.
In her new role, Thompson will establish a new team tasked with supporting existing clients in the region, and she will use the base to open up the firm's offering in the Asia Pacific market.
For quarter three, Nunwood has reported a 7% rise in sales from the prior year period, bringing total sales for 2009 to date to £7.63m. CEO Clare Bruce says that the firm is capitalising on this strong performance by expanding its international presence.
'The demands of our existing client base, fuelled by recent new business, means now is the logical time to strengthen our capabilities in mainland Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region,' Bruce explained.
Plans are already well advanced to open offices in both The Netherlands and California. The latter will build on Nunwood's US presence, which is currently managed out of its New York office.
All four offices will offer the firm's full range of research, analytics and insight management services, including its Fizz knowledge management product.
