Decision Resources Appoints for Restructure

US pharma and healthcare research firm Decision Resources has restructured into two segments - Biopharma and Medical Technology - and made a number of promotions accordingly.

CEO Peter Hoenigsberg says the restructure has been initiated as a response to 'strong organic growth and astute, aggressive acquisitions'.

As part of the move, Mark Bard, formerly the President of Decision Resources' physician and consumer opinions agency Manhattan Research, joins the senior team as Chief Commercialization Officer. His new role will focus on working with the leadership at the various business units to drive overall revenue for the organization.

'Mark will be a critical member of the senior team responsible for driving the company's organic growth beyond our current, ambitious projections,' stated Hoenigsberg.

In addition, the firm has promoted three members of staff to its existing corporate team:

Jason LaBonte becomes Chief Operating Officer of the newly formed Portfolio Planning segment within the Biopharma business unit. The latter includes Decision Resources and Arlington Medical Resources, which covers the hospital-based drug and imaging industry. LaBonte brings experience from product, new product and commercial roles.

Joe Farris is now President of Manhattan Research, which leads the Brand segment of the Biopharma business unit. In his new role, he will spearhead the company's drive to create solutions for pharma brand teams via new product initiatives and bolt-on acquisitions.

Elizabeth Marshall has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing, responsible for strategic marketing for all the companies within the Decision Resources portfolio.
