MRA Names Interim CEO
In the US, the Marketing Research Association (MRA) has appointed Chief Operations Officer Kristen Darby as Interim CEO, until it has sourced a permanent replacement for Larry Brownell, who leaves at the end of the month.
Brownell, who joined MRA in 2003, resigned in November, when he announced plans to return to his Los Angeles home to pursue other opportunities.
Darby joined MRA in 2007 as COO, prior to which she was Director of Membership for the Institute of Management Accountants, a 60,000 member-based association. In this role she covered membership, chapters, customer service, student and academic relations and corporate development.
'We are excited to have Kristen Darby fill the role of interim CEO,' stated MRA President Kim Larson. 'Kristen has proven to be an effective leader who will continue the traditions of MRA and help us move forward. I look forward to working closely with her during this transitional period.'
