Toluna Continues Global Community Roll-out
Panels specialist Toluna has added community features for its panellists in fifteen more countries, bringing the total to 34.
The fifteen are Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Peru; Mexico; Singapore, Japan and China; Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway; the Czech Republic, Portugal and Greece.
Panel communities are a key element for Toluna, which has been using web 2.0-based technology to maximise panellist engagement, improve response and data reliability since 2002. On its social voting community site www.toluna.com , members can post profile pictures and information about themselves and pose questions to other members, while site visitors can view responses. One of the spin-offs from this pioneering approach is the QuickSurveys™ online DIY survey tool, which uses the communities to poll respondents in real-time.
Laurent Sabouret, Online Community and Panel Director, says the company received more than 15 million votes via the portal worldwide in January, a number which has more than doubled in six months. 'Member participation and interaction is gaining momentum and we're pleased that we're providing these community features to respondents in 15 new countries.'
Toluna, which bought Greenfield Online and Ciao Surveys last year, now has seventeen offices in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
