Omniture Adds iPad Capabilities
US-based web analytics firm Omniture has added new analytics capabilities to its Online Marketing Suite, to enable clients to measure and optimize traffic and activity on the Apple iPad.
Omniture, a business unit of design software giant Adobe, develops software to store and analyze information generated by web sites. Prior to the Adobe acquisition, marcoms group WPP invested $25m in Omniture stock, in a move to provide marketers with consumer insights supported by new technology.
The updated Online Marketing Suite features an expanded mobile device database, so clients can segment and run reports based on iPad user behaviour. Additionally, the solution can now measure iPad applications and video usage on the iPad.
Updates have also been made to Omniture Discover, for measurement of visitor engagement by time spent, time segmentation and trending; and to Omniture Test&Target which now includes the ability to optimize mobile web content for display and interaction on the iPad.
