Synovate Buys Dutch Healthcare Consultancy

Synovate Healthcare has acquired Netherlands-based Firm United Healthcare (FUH), a consultancy which offers market research, marketing and communications support to firms in the health market.

FUH was founded in 1995 by Berend Bielderman, who before opening the firm spent nine years as Business Unit Director at IMS Health. Its services include trend research, depth interviews, healthcare eye tracker qual research, concept and campaign testing, brand experience analysis and media consumption research.

In a statement, Synovate said that both parties are excited about the move, and that FUH's employees describe Synovate's range of market research services and international healthcare activities as offering a 'candy store' of choice to their clients.

The FUH team will now operate from Synovate Healthcare's Dutch office in Amsterdam, reporting to Practice Head Coen Persijn, who was previously MD of FUH.
