comScore Hires Strengthen AsiaPac Offer
Online audience measurement firm comScore has appointed four key executives in the Asia Pacific region, as part of a plan to introduce an 'on-the-ground' presence in Hong Kong, India and Australia.
Victor Cheng joins as Sales Director for Hong Kong, and Samantha Oh as Account Manager for Southeast Asia, while Kedar Gavane and Kara Anglin join with sales responsibilities for India and Australia respectively.
Cheng's background includes 15 years' multimedia sales experience. He most recently served as Senior Account Director - Ad Sales & Marketing at Sony Pictures Entertainment - AXN/Animax. Prior to this, he was Head of Business Development for MSN; Deputy Sales Director for Emphasis Custom Media (a Time Warner Company); Account Manager in International Sales for CNBC International/ Asia Business News; and Advertising Sales Executive for The Hong Kong Economic Times.
Most recently, Oh was Research Manager for OMD Singapore, where she managed data analysis and interpretation of consumer and media research reports. Before this, she was a Senior Executive in Sony Marketing Asia Pacific's recording media and energy division; and she held a number of positions at Millward Brown Asia Pacific and Acorn Marketing and Research Consultants.
Before joining comScore in Mumbai, Gavane founded and worked as CEO of marketing analytics firm ViralSmith, was COO for BIGMRP, and Product Head for BIGADDA.com. Earlier in his career, he served as Manager for Corporate Strategy and Business Development New Media for Anandabazar Patrika, and worked as a Software Engineer for Infosys Technologies.
Sydney-based Anglin joins from Thomson Reuters in New York, where she worked as Manager of Advertising Research, responsible for the US and UK ad research teams, and for supporting sales teams in the US, Europe and Asia. Before this, she was Senior Research Analyst at CBS Interactive; served as an Account Specialist with comScore Media Metrix; and was a Field Sales Liaison at NorthPoint Communications.
