JD Power Hires Healthcare Head
In the US, JD Power and Associates has appointed former Harris Interactive exec Dr Richard Millard as head of its healthcare practice.
 The practice, which is part of the company's global services and emerging industries division, evaluates the experiences of stakeholder groups ranging from patients to financial sponsors and employers.
In his new role as Senior Director, Millard will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the healthcare practice, and for conducting studies on customer satisfaction across healthcare suppliers, manufacturers and providers, including health insurance plans, hospitals and retail pharmacies.
Before joining the firm, Millard spent nine years at Harris Interactive, working as Group President for the healthcare research group and also organizing global research initiatives across industry sectors. During his time with the firm, he was also SVP, Asia (2007), identifying acquisition partners in Hong Kong and Shanghai; and SVP, Europe, based in London.
Before Harris, he was VP, Clinical Affairs at Patient Infosystems; and held faculty positions at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Gary Tucker, SVP of the Global Services and Emerging Industries division, says Millard's experience will be especially crucial in the current rapidly changing healthcare environment.
