Neuromarketing Firm EmSense Opens HQ in Europe
US-based neuromarketing research specialist EmSense has opened a European headquarters in central London, where it has recruited Sue Nosworthy as SVP, European Research Director and Maria Domoslawska as VP, Digital and Media Research.
EmSense offers emotion tracking, cognitive neuroscience and analytics, and market research, through its EmGear wireless headset. This uses EEG sensors to measure the electrical activity of the brain, an accelerometer to detect motions and facial twitches, and a heart-rate monitor that can gauge stress rates.
Last week, consumer specialist SymphonyIRI announced it has integrated EmSense's neuromeasurement headsets with its BehaviorScan service, to quantify shoppers' emotional and cognitive responses to new products and ad campaigns.
The firm says its new office has been opened in response to pan-European business expansion, and its growing list of clients throughout Western and Eastern Europe.
Nosworthy joins with more than 30 years' international experience. Most recently, she was Global Account Director and Global Insights Director at TNS in London and New York. Before this, she held senior positions at NFO, MBL Group and the British Market Research Bureau.
Additionally, she has been a member of the ESOMAR Council for six years, and currently serves as ESOMAR Vice President.
In her new role, Nosworthy will focus on delivering insights to clients, while expanding the firm's 'Neurometrics' research offerings throughout Europe.
Domoslawska, whose background spans online media measurement, advertising, product development, brand positioning and customer satisfaction research in the digital media space, joins from Tribal Fusion, where as Director of Research she led strategic market research initiatives throughout the company's US, European and Australian networks. Earlier in her career, she worked at Digitas and Beacon Technology Partners.
At EmSense, Domoslawska is tasked with expanding technology capabilities, and providing clients and partners with an understanding of the digital media experience through the application of EEG Neurometrics.
'These key hires, along with others planned, will enable EmSense to support its continued international growth,' comments Elissa Moses, Chief Analytics Officer. 'We are most pleased to add such highly accomplished professionals to our global staff.'
