CrowdGather Snaps Up Adisn for $5.5m
In the US, online communities network CrowdGather has acquired Adisn, a digital ad agency that uses relationship data from the social web to enhance ad targeting. The deal is valued at $5.5m, for which CrowdGather will issue around 4.6m shares of common stock.
Adisn's technology mines through web conversations, web profiles, online blogs and behaviour, and then uses the results to enhance online targeting.
CrowdGather has a portfolio of special interest forums and enthusiast message board communities. Through this offering, the company supplies a management and revenue-sharing resource for third-party forum owners, and an advertising network for marketers worldwide.
'While we have been successful at increasing the earning power of our network, we have been doing so without the benefit of a sales force or our own ad serving platform,' explained CrowdGather founder and CEO Sajay Sabnani. 'Adisn provides us with both of these resources and we are excited about what the future holds for us as we move forward together.'
Adisn will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of CrowdGather, and its co-founder Andy Moeck will continue as President.
