Chairman and founder of MORI Sir Robert Worcester has been appointed President of the Institute of Business Ethics (IBE) in the UK.

Sir Robert WorcesterThe IBE is a registered charity, founded in 1986 to promote, study and apply ethical standards in the management and conduct of industry and business.

Among his many outside interests, Worcester is Chancellor of the University of Kent and a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

He is also a Freeman of the City of London, and was made an Honorary Knight Commander of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2004 in recognition of his services to political, social and economic research. He was knighted the following year, after becoming a British citizen.

IBE Chairman Chris Moorhouse commented: 'Sir Robert Worcester has given excellent support and encouragement to the Institute as a member of its advisory council. I am delighted that his advice will continue to be available to us in his new role.'
