US Investor Buys Into Chinese Digital MR Firm
US private investment company Silver Lake has acquired a 62% stake in Chinese digital marketing solutions firm Allyes Online Media, which specialises in online ad agency services and online market research.
The share, which has been acquired from Allyes' parent company, digital media firm Focus Media Holding, is reported to be valued at $124m.
Established in 1998, Allyes provides a complete suite of digital marketing solutions and Internet ad technology. Through its proprietary AdForward solution, the company offers ad publishing, creative production, tracking, targeting and performance analysis. The firm is headquartered in Shanghai, with additional offices in Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
Allyes previously worked with Nielsen//NetRatings to track results of its clients' online ad campaigns through the use of tagging technology.
