Toluna Opens Office in Spain
Online panel and survey technology firm Toluna has expanded in Europe with a new office in Madrid, Spain, headed by former Nielsen executive Carlos Hidalgo de Morillo Jiménez.
Last year, Toluna acquired Greenfield Online's Internet Survey Solutions (ISS) business, and yesterday, it announced the roll out of Greenfield's UPS (Unified Panelist System) globally, to provide consistency of delivery and better user experience for respondents.
CEO Frederic-Charles Petit says that the opening of the Spanish office is yet another signal of Toluna's continued growth, with the company now able to support clients with local teams in Spain, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Australia, Japan and the US.
'This is a natural move for Toluna and one that is in line with our company strategy,' states Petit. 'We are proud to now have an office in Spain - to serve the growing demands of the Spanish region and provide sales and operational support at a local level.'
Jiménez joined Toluna's South European Sales team in July as an Account Director. Prior to this, he worked as Consultant & Business Developer for Nielsen in Madrid, and before this, he served as International Project Director at communications agency ASAP.
Earlier in his career, he was Department Manager for sports goods retailer Decathlon, and worked as a Research Executive for cosmetics firm Shiseido in Paris and London.
