Gartner Reports 16% Rise in Q2 Revenues
Technology research firm Gartner has posted a 16% increase in second quarter revenue to $314.2m and a 17% rise in net revenue to $20.1m.
In February, the firm announced a 5% fourth quarter 2009 drop in total revenue to $328.8m, while its research division suffered a 3% decline to $195.2m.
However, in Q2 2010, Gartner's research business segment, revenue was up 14% to $209.1m, while sales in the consulting segment increased 9% to $75.8m. Revenue generated from Gartner events climbed 75% to $29.3m.
'During the second quarter, our top line growth continued to accelerate in all three of our businesses and our earnings exceeded expectations,' commented CEO Gene Hall. 'The success of our initiatives to improve sales effectiveness and enhance the value provided by our services, coupled with a stronger sales environment, drove these results. We are solidly back on track to deliver double-digit revenue and earnings growth over the long-term.'
