INPUT Debuts Contractor Information Service

US public sector intelligence consultancy INPUT has released a new product, designed to analyze government suppliers and their position in the federal contracting market.

Kevin PlexicoEstablished in 1974, INPUT helps companies develop federal, state, and local government business through the delivery of procurement and market information, consulting, sales management tools, and educational and networking events.

Earlier this year, the company rolled out its 'Government Investing Advisor' (GovIA) service, to provide information about the largest publicly traded companies serving the government, as well as government market data, spending analysis and forecasts.

The firm's new Vendor Intelligence Program (VIP) is a competitive intelligence product that offers data and analysis of government vendors, and supports competitive analysis and benchmarking.

VIP features a bidder rating weighted algorithm that measures the likelihood that a company will bid on an opportunity. This methodology predicts the actions and outcomes for a particular opportunity by observing other companies and the industry, while scrutinizing existing, expiring and upcoming contracts.

Subscribers also gain access to INPUT's analysts, and to experts in the fields of financial investments and government contracting.

'VIP is a direct response to our members who have expressed a strong interest in obtaining an in-depth perspective into the market position and business prospects of their competitors,' states Kevin Plexico, SVP, Research and Analysis Services. 'This product leverages the wealth of information in INPUT's government business opportunities database and helps answer crucial questions in competitive intelligence.'
