Strengthened PR Support for TNS

Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) has announced the appointment of Mica Quinn to a newly created post of International PR Manager with immediate effect. Her brief has been described as assessing the company's global PR potential and developing a communications programme across the 80 markets in which TNS operates.

Mica brings a broad range of pan-European and international PR experience to the position. She has previously worked at Citigate Technology as a Senior Consultant and, prior to that, at Weber Shandwick.

In her new capacity, Mica will initially concentrate on developing an international communications strategy for TNS. This is intended to be piloted in selected markets and adapted for worldwide rollout in the next 12-18 months. For this and all her other projects, Mica will report to Chris Goard, Global Marketing Director.

Commenting on her new role, Mica said "TNS is the largest marketing information company in Europe - and the fourth largest in the world - but, to date, PR activity has mainly focused on communicating our strengths on a sector-by-sector basis rather than at the corporate level. I am keen to develop and implement a programme which presents a series of consistent corporate messages across all markets and which demonstrates TNS as an experienced provider of quality information research on an international level."

Alongside this appointment, Gillian Kidney has also been appointed as PR Executive to support Mica. She will be responsible for co-ordinating day-to-day PR activity within the UK, and most especially in developing initiatives to raise awareness of the company's profile among key audiences. Prior to joining TNS, Gillian worked for Eircell - Ireland's leading mobile phone network - and for recruitment consultancy, The Blomfield Group.
