BinaryPlex Launches Twitter Analysis Tool
In Australia, 'people related' data specialist BinaryPlex has launched a tool to identify the value contained in Twitter conversations.
Founded in Melbourne, Australia in 2009, BinaryPlex builds data tools and offers social strategy consulting underpinned by analytics and research.
Its new Tribalytic tool draws data from a market research panel of around 150,000 Australian Twitter users. The system allows users to search using any keyword across three months of history, and then segment results by location, relevance, influence and related topics.
Additionally, the tool can group conversations and filter comments that are obviously not from 'real consumers'.
By helping to identify the key influencers, themes and topics in online conversations, BinaryPlex co-founder Tim Bull says the system enables brands to understand the impact of their online presence, and refine their marketing and ad strategies accordingly.
'Facebook has tools built into its platform which allow you to analyse your demographics,' states Bull. 'Twitter lacks tools that deliver this kind of market research sophistication, and we saw the opportunity to do a lot more for businesses in analysing Twitter than just counting the number of tweets.'
