TNS Restructures, Creates New Unit
TNS has formed a new central division called Corporate Development, incorporating a number of current areas of marketing and strategy expertise. Matthew Froggatt, until now Technology Sector Head, has been appointed to lead the new unit as Chief Development Officer.
The division will incorporate the current functions of Areas of Expertise, Qualitative, Digital, Product Management Development and Global Marketing. The firm says its creation is a response to the way 'the Digital revolution [is] transforming clients' needs' and aims to 'ensure TNS is best organised to focus on bringing research and marketing expertise to its clients in an innovative way.'
Froggatt's team will be charged with managing the company's overall portfolio of products and services; delivering an ongoing innovation pipeline; integrating Digital across the business; and delivering 'clear and consistent' TNS brand positioning around the world.
Froggatt joined Infratest Burke/NFO in 1992 after graduating from Oxford University in PPE, and after its merger with TNS in 2003 became Managing Director of Specialist Markets, based in London, with responsibility for the Financial Services, Technology and Media sectors. He took the Global Technology Sector role in 2006, and was appointed Global Head of TNS's Areas of Expertise last year after the merger with RI.
His successor as Technology Sector Head is to be announced 'in the coming weeks.'
TNS CEO Pedro Ros comments: 'These are important changes for TNS and critical to our progress as an industry leader. The new Corporate Development division will ensure that we have the agility and flexibility to adapt to our clients' evolving needs and that we consistently give them the best of TNS.'
