Decipher Opens in Los Angeles
US-based research technology specialist Decipher has reopened in Los Angeles, California. The firm closed its Hollywood office two years ago because of an 'executive relocation'.
Founded in 2000, Decipher provides online survey programming, data collection, data processing/reporting, and custom technology development software.
In 2007, the firm acquired Hollywood-based MR software and tech provider Forefront Consulting Group, which had been founded the previous year by partners Kristin Luck and Ji Yeong Kim.
Luck, who is now President of Decipher, recently announced the intended move to Los Angeles, as well as plans to open facilities in Manhattan and London in the coming months.
The new LA office will house eight employees, and the firm expects to increase that number to fifteen by the end of the year. Luck says the city is a major market for MR firms and the firm anticipates 'significant growth in the Los Angeles market moving into 2011'.
Separately, Luck recently made a legal claim against OTX, the firm she co-founded, for money she claims she was owed relating to its $71m sale to Ipsos earlier this year. All claims have since been dismissed with prejudice.
