Latest 2001 TV Trends Report
The latest Trends in Television Report covering the third quarter of 2001 shows that non-terrestrial channels in the UK now hold over 20% share of television viewing for the first time. Overall viewing levels at 3.34 average daily hours are, like the previous quarter, down on the comparable 2000 levels.
ITV continues to lose share, recording its lowest ever share of total viewing and also peak time viewing.
According to Lynne Robinson, IPA Research Director, "This is an extremely disappointing set of results for ITV. It's hoped that they will be able to improve their performance in the all important final quarter."
