Nielsen Moves MDs for India and UK & Ireland Roles
Nielsen has transferred Justin Sargent from his former role as Group MD for UK and Ireland, to the position of Managing Director for its Consumer business in India. He is replaced by Chris Morley, who recently returned to the UK following a number of years working in Asia.
Sargent began his career at Procter & Gamble as a Category Marketing Analyst, before joining Nielsen in 1993. Since then, he has held a number of senior positions in both the UK and in Australia, where he was responsible for consumer panel services, retailer services and client services, as well as for operational activities.
He transferred to the position of Group MD for UK and Ireland in May, and is now replaced by Morley, who previously worked as MD at Nielsen in China and before this, as MD at Nielsen in Vietnam.
In his new role, Sargent will lead Nielsen's Consumer business (which comprises retail measurement services, consumer research, BASES, and advanced analytical consulting), including client leadership, client service, and product leadership initiatives.
'Justin has been successful in all his roles at generating step-change growth by developing and engaging the best talent, building a client first mindset and driving a transparent communications culture,' states Piyush Mathur, President, India. 'We are privileged to have him appointed to lead the commercial organization for our Consumer businesses.'
