Irish Investment for US Industrial Researcher
Texas-based researcher Industrial Info Resources (IIR) is to open a European Operations centre in the Ballybrit Business Park, Galway, Ireland, creating fifty new jobs over the next five years.
The new site will develop subscription-based databases of European industrial market intelligence, in addition to growing the company's European client base. The firm is already recruiting for new positions in research, sales, admin and management functions.
Batt O'Keeffe TD (pictured), Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, said the investment 'reinforces the western region's growing reputation as a location for high-end business services operations', while IIR President Ed Lewis says the firm is confident that the skills it needs for success in Europe are 'readily available in Ireland'.
IIR was founded in 1983 and specialises in research into industrial processing, heavy manufacturing and energy-related industries worldwide.
The company is online at www.industrialinfo.com .
