Brussels Office for PR and Public Affairs Consultancy
Research and measurement consultancy StrategyOne (S1), part of the Edelman group, has opened a Brussels office to focus on public affairs work at the EU and national levels. Antoine Harary, Director for Continental Europe, will head it up.
Based in New York, the company was formed in 1997 and specialises in strategic insights and measurements for PR and Public Affairs professionals. Existing European offices are in London and Paris.
The new office's EU-centred research will focus on four areas: public affairs insight - covering EU decision makers, influencers and the media; public affairs measurement including KPIs, benchmarking and reputation audits; public policy impact including public awareness and stakeholder perception; and thought leadership including white papers.
StrategyOne President Laurence Evans says the move reflects findings from the group's own Edelman Trust Barometer which show that 'EU informed publics are looking for a new partnership model between business and government that will drive growth, jobs and EU interests but without capital market excesses or heavy handed intervention' - requiring better understanding of how business and policymakers can work together.
Harary, currently in charge of the S1 Office in Paris, comments: 'Our presence in Brussels reinforces our positioning on public affairs research and will help us capitalize and further develop the tight relationship we have with a network of EU officials and influencers'.
Harary worked previously as a Senior Research Manager at the communications department of PSA Peugeot Citroen, as a Department Manager at research institute Occurrence, and as a Media Analyst for SPOTTER, covering and analysing the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Since 2005 he has been a lecturer at CELSA at the Sorbonne, from which he holds a Masters in Public Relations.
