Kurani Gets Funding for Opinionaided App
In the US, technology firm Kurani Interactive - developer of the Opinionaided iPhone market research app - has secured another $275k in funding.
Founded in 2000, the firm launched Opinionaided earlier this year to enable users to voice their opinions and receive feedback from family and friends, over mobile devices in real-time.
Users can ask questions to contacts from their address book or to the public, and can include any photo captured with the device's camera or saved to the iPhone photo library. The tool can be used to get advice or opinion on anything from the fit of a pair of jeans to new movies.
All votes - in the form of thumbs up/thumbs down - are tabulated and kept in a personal section for review. Aggregated data can then provide a snapshot on customer behavior and preferences.
Additionally, the app is integrated with Facebook and Twitter, to enable users to become 'friends' with other Opinionaided users, and track their activity or chat in real-time.
This latest round of funding has been led by angel investor Chuck Chesler and former Greenfield Online President, Al Angrisani. It follows an earlier seed funding round of $775k.
